Services

According to the charity Scope there are 13.9 million people living in the UK with a disability. These disabilities can vary drastically but the daily barriers you face, both physically and within society can be extremely challenging and often overwhelming.

Living the life you want, completing essential household and work tasks can be a constant struggle. Here at My Mobility Guide we want you to feel that there is support and a community of people in a similar situation, all willing to help.

Our goal is to provide advice and thoughtful, engaging, useful content, whether you are looking for information on working with a disability, undertaking day-to-day tasks, getting out and about, wanting support with personal care or wanting to hear others? experiences and stories, we will do our best to help you.

In recent years there has been a tremendous increase in support for the disabled community from many organisations ranging from local councils to the NHS, specialised charities and other independent associations. With the advances in technology and these organisations investing time and money in to the cause, there has never been so much information and advice available to us.

With all this information being readily available it is no wonder we find ourselves overwhelmed and confused. Knowing where to start when seeking advice on a particular service or mobility aid can seem like a mine field.

At My Mobility Guide we understand that finding the perfect service for your specific needs and wants can make a huge difference to your day-to-day life. We also believe that people who live with disabilities are 100% the best source of knowledge on such things. This is why we encourage you to share your experiences. We bring together personal experiences and stories from the disabled community to help others navigate reviews, advice and relevant information to be able to make the best decisions.

From support with childcare and parenting, finding suitable housing, reviewing mobility aids, identifying the benefits available to you, or even sharing experiences of accessible holidays abroad, My Mobility Guide aims to cover all aspects of disability.

If you have a story, advice or an experience you’d like to share, we would love to hear from you. Get in touch here.
